I was born in New Delhi, India, into a devout Hindu family. My father was very conservative and strict, and he often made me angry, but I learned to hide my feelings from a young age. At 21, I moved to the United States, and adjusting to life here was hard due to racial discrimination and cultural differences.
Although I had pushed down my feelings for many years, the deep resentment and anger I felt could no longer be contained. I ended up directing my negativity towards my husband and my child.
I didn’t want to live with this negative mindset, but I couldn’t find a way out. Then, I came across a book written by Teacher Woo Myung and started this meditation practice. It was then that I discovered a deep, dark secret: my mind was like a trash can, filled with all sorts of negative “garbage” thoughts.
When I realized this, it felt like I had been brought back to life.
I had tried other types of meditation before, but none of them helped me change. Instead of focusing on “Chakras” in my body, this method allowed me to see the root of my negative mind, pick up all that garbage, and completely remove it. This was the escape I had been looking for. Over time, I felt free and saw myself changing every day.
As I continued to meditate, I began to feel sorry for my family. I felt sorry for causing them stress and pain, so I introduced this meditation to them. Now, my whole family meditates with me, and we live each day with happiness and gratitude.
This meditation is an incredible way to understand your mind. I encourage everyone to try it and see the results for themselves. It truly can change your mind
